Movies for the holiday --romantic and presidential
Dave: After the president goes into a coma, his aides unearth Dave (Kevin Kline), owner of a temp agency and, strangely, a doppelganger for the commander in chief. But while Dave looks precisely like the president, the similarities end there. As the story progresses, Dave slowly begins to form a political philosophy, much to the chagrin of his handlers. He also wins over the first lady (Sigourney Weaver).
The American President: A widowed president (Michael Douglas) falls in love with a lobbyist (Annette Bening) in a charming movie written by Aaron Sorkin—of The West Wing fame.
